Known as Ukiyo-e painter of tourism by the series of Tokaido Fifty-three Stations. He made many tour series like Kiso Kaido Sixty-nine Stations, and townscape series like Hundred Famous Views of Edo, etc. Tokaido Fifty-three Stations, which have 60 prints in the whole series: one for each station, plus one apiece for the starting Edo and ending points Kyoto.

Vertrek uit Edo (huidig Tokyo), de eerste houtsnede  uit de serie "de 53 halteplaatsen van de Tokaido".

N.B. Om te zorgen dat de Ukiyo-e bij verzending heel aankomt wordt er gebruik gemaakt van een speciale verzenddoos. De kosten hiervan zijn verrekend met de verzendkosten, waardoor deze hoger uitvallen dan normaal.
